WordPad is being removed
From now on, Microsoft will not bring any more updates for WordPad. In addition, the app will be removed through the new update of Windows in the future.
Since 1995, Microsoft WordPad has been available as a common document editor with all Windows. It was used to edit text documents with basic formatting. Microsoft has added new features and updates to it since its launch. But in the end, the US technology giant has announced to close it too.
There is no official word on when the next update of Windows will be brought. However, there are rumors that Microsoft may unveil Windows 12 in late 2024. The post on the website advises users to use Microsoft Word or Notepad for a better experience.
